CReAA develops, organizes and carries out a census of analytic methods, in order to guarantee healthy feed, together with other Italian and European National Reference Centers.
CReAA carries out a census of activities in animal feed, and evaluates health risks related to feeding stuffs.
CReAA collects, keeps and understands health data of interest in feed for farmed animals.
CReAA organizes meetings, workshops, seminars, basic and advanced training courses on its competence’s matters (legislation updating, together with the Ministry of Health, diffusion of new analytical techniques to the IIZZSS network).
In order to cope with many different issues, CReAA is distributed on a number of different units on environmental contaminants (pesticides, heavy metals, micotoxins), drug residues and animal proteins in the context of BSE surveillance.
